Goals:

Membership

  • To increase membership and member involvement in IPMA-HR.
  • To identify opportunities for the Association to partner with public and private organizations who share commitment to the growth and development of human resources in the State of Oklahoma.
  • To develop future public sector leaders that ensures the strength and diversity in the Association’s leadership, committees, and programs.
  • To establish programs that promote growth of members in the Human Resources fields that will lead to increased membership.  

Advocacy

·         Conduct cutting edge study groups and best in class benchmarking.

·         Become a leading voice for public sector HR on government affairs by:

o    Supporting and consulting on proposed legislation and regulations

o    Participating in state coalitions

o    Publicizing the Association’s involvement to members, the public sector and the private sector HR community.

Professional Development/Certification

  • Increase the Association’s usage of professional development programs by:
    • Supporting participation in professional development classes.
    • Supporting IMPA-HR development and marketing of the IMPA-HR CP and CS certificate programs focused on the essentials of public HR.  
    • Increasing networking opportunities. 

Ensure Financial and Organizational Health

  • Review the OPRHA governance structure and make recommendations for changes.
  • Ensure the Association’s financial solvency by:
    • Growing revenue
    • Reviewing cost structures for training and professional development courses.
